# If an angle is one-third of its supplement, then the measure of the angle is

$45^{0}$

##### SOLUTION
If one angle is one-third of its supplement, then the measure of an angle is $45^{o}$.
Let first angle = $x^{o}$
$\dfrac{1}{3}$ of supliment = $\dfrac{1}{3}(180-x)$
Now, $3x=180^{o}-x$
$3x+x=180^{o}$
$4x=180^{o}$
$x=\dfrac{180}{4}=45^{o}$
