# If the difference of two supplementary angles is ${ 40 }^{ o }$, then the measurement of the greater angle is

${ 110 }^{ o }$

##### SOLUTION
let one anngle be $x$
The other supplementary angle is $180^0 -x$
$So,$
$180-x-x=40$
$\implies\quad 180-2x=40$
$\implies\quad 2x=180-40$
$\implies\quad x=70$
$\implies\quad 180-x={ 110 }^{ \circ }$
