# In the below figure $AB,CD$ and $EF$ are three lines concurrent at $O$. Find the value of $y$.

##### SOLUTION
In the given figure,

$\angle BOF=5y$

So,
$\angle EOA=\angle BOF=5y$        ( vertically opposite angles )

Also
$\angle COE+\angle EOA+\angle AOD=180^{\circ}$    ( supplementary angles )

$2y+5y+2y=180^{\circ}$

$9y=180^{\circ}$

$y=\cfrac{180}{9}=20^{\circ}$
