In the figure, angles form linear pair.
Thus their sum is equal to $180^o$.
Therefore, $\displaystyle X+3X=4X^{\circ}=180^o$
$\displaystyle X =\frac{180^{\circ}}{4}=45^{\circ}$
$\displaystyle X =45^{\circ}$ and $3X = 135^{\circ}$
