$\angle D+\angle E+\angle F=180^{o}$ ....Angle sum property
$\because \angle E=90^{o}$
$\Rightarrow \angle D+\angle F=180^{o}-90^{o}$
$\Rightarrow \angle D+\angle F=90^{o}$
Therefore, angle $D$ and $F$ are complementary angles.
