# Two adjacent angles are in ratio $5:3$ and they together form an angle of $128^{0}$, find these angles.

##### SOLUTION
Sum of two adjacent angles = $128^{0}$
and ratio between them = $5:3$
Let first and = $5x$
Then second angle = $3x$
$5x+3x=128^{0}$
$\Rightarrow 8x=128^{0}$
$\Rightarrow x=16^{0}$
First angle = $5x=5*16^{0}=80^{0}$
and second angle = $3x=3*16^{0}=48^{0}$.
