Two adjacent angles are in ratio $$5:3$$ and they together form an angle of $$128^{0}$$, find these angles.

SOLUTION
Sum of two adjacent angles = $$128^{0}$$
and ratio between them = $$5:3$$
Let first and = $$5x$$
Then second angle = $$3x$$
$$5x+3x=128^{0}$$
$$\Rightarrow 8x=128^{0}$$
$$\Rightarrow x=16^{0}$$
First angle = $$5x=5*16^{0}=80^{0}$$
and second angle = $$3x=3*16^{0}=48^{0}$$.
