Two complementary angles differ by 20. Find the measure of each angle .

SOLUTION
We know that
Sum of measures of two complementary angles= 90
$\implies\, x+y= 90 .....(i)$
But we are given $x-y=20 .....(ii)$
$2x= 110$     [On comparing (i) and (ii)]
$\implies\, x= 55$
Now, $x+y= 90$
$\implies\, y= 90 - x$
$\implies\, y= 90 - 55=35$
